ABOUT

“Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.”

- Pablo Picasso, 1881-1973

Arielle is a professional violinist with a prolific background in classical music. Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she continues her violin career in both a new locale and a remote capacity.

Notable (yet vague) mentions in her professional career include her time at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, internationally-acclaimed performances across the world, and placing first in a long list of national and international competitions. Arielle has had the privilege of studying beneath some of today's greatest violin masters such as Zakhar Bron, Midori, Charles Castleman, Pinchas Zukerman, and Isaac Malkin. She also holds the esteemed privilege of being banned from the Julliard School in New York City. It's kind of a long story.

Her love of improvisation is enabled by her foundation in classical technique, a rare-ish phenomenon called absolute (or perfect) pitch, and a frivolous desire to just, like, mess around. Some of the musical styles that influence her include folk, folklore, jazz, blues, soul, rock, tango, flamenco, bossa nova, funk, hip hop, and fiddle. She hungrily welcomes new styles as they cross her path.

While violin is her first love and foe, Arielle has also been known to fiddle around with the mandolin, ukulele, electric bass, guitar, and viola.

Her favourite food is sea urchin, in case anyone was wondering.
